Description

Fructifero Farm is located on the slopes of Mt. Kalatungan in the Maramag Region of the Bukidnon.   Ms. Jean Abear has been coffee farming for around 25 years.

Ms. Jean’s Italian background lend to the name Fructifero, which means fruitful in English. The Cebuano translation is mabungahon. The farms provide bountiful fruits for the world to enjoy.

When asked if coffee farming has a bright future in the Philippines,

Ms. Jean wrote – “there is a bright future for our coffee industry if the government or Department of Agriculture will provide funding for us farmers to help us improve the quality of our coffee. Filipino consumers should learn how to patronize our local products”.

The Farm is run by Jean and her family where they grow coffee, sugar cane, abaca, and other crops. The elevation of the Farm is 1200-1300 Masl.

Venture Coffee Company is vertically integrated with our in country partner, TribungKape. The staff at TribungKape visit all the farmers and farmer organization prior to purchasing any green coffee beans. Training is conducted to ensure the best quality coffee is produced.
